[code]Private Robert Ong was attached to No.4 Commando from the Suffolk Regiment. He took part in the raid on Dieppe. On the 6th June 1944 he was with No.4 Commando during the D Day landings at Normandy where he was killed in action and is buried at Hermanville War Cememtery. His grandaughter Helen Ong has provided some photos and I have been able to put her in touch with Ron Youngman so the family can obtain the Dieppe Certificate issued by the French Government in his name.

God and the Soldier, all men adore, In time of danger and not before.
When the danger is passed and all things righted, God is forgotten, and the Soldier slighted.
