I have 3 letters written by George to my mother when he was serving in Italy. I think he was killed there, but I can't be sure. My father (Dick Hawkins) was in No.1 Commando and was a great friend of George's. I would like to repatriate the letters with any relatives that are interested. Can anyone help?

Hi and welcome to the CVA

George Eden was in No.9 Commando and was killed in action on the 19th March 1944 in Italy. Sadly he has no known grave but is remembered with honour on the Cassino War Memorial.

Hello

Could someone perhaps send me a message regarding George Eden. I think he may be the George Eden we have been looking for. My grandfathers brother, my dad's uncle!

It would be great to hear from someone.

Kindest Regards
