Sgt John Fairhurst 46 RM Cdo

Hello Ladies and Gentleman,

I have aquired quite a lot of items of Mr Fairhurst while serving in 46 RM Cdo wich i would like to share here, i found these items on an online auction house and they where send to me in old carton box..
As i never met this Gentleman myself and have no idea why his personal stuff was for sale i would appreciate any info you Gents have about him.
Also i will try to put the story of 46 Rm Cdo on this forum as it was written down in 2 seperate "books" that came with it: 1st one is "Into Europe with 46 Commando Royal Marines" and the 2nd one is "Five Rivers 1st Commando Brigade" Germany 1945

Quite a lot of info in total so i will put them on here in parts..

Thank you very much for sharing with us the documents and pictures of Sgt John Fairhurst 46 RM Commando. I have downloaded all your posts on here with a view, in due course, to entering some into our photo albums in the CVA Gallery with an obvious credit to you for posting them. I normally like to put a persons full name as a credit in the photo gallery so perhaps you could let me know that. I have a contact who was in 46 RM Cdo and I will speak to him to see if he knew of John. The chances are small but I will see what I can do.

For the time being I have included a clear picture of John Fairfax 46 RM Commando from your posts here for all to see without having to download anything

I have a lot more to share, including pictures of his medals, the books i mentioned, his service records etc etc its more than 200 pictures/pages... Maybe we can work out a way to put most of it (or all if you like) on here in some way, but i think it would be better if you or someone else can help me with this. i can provide links to what i have on an online photobook and make it public so you can download or look what you like or not?
