I just returned from a holiday in Hong Kong ,staying with my niece Liane who lives and works there. I asked her if I could visit the war cemtery at Sai Wan ..her eyes rolled at the thought but she actually was very moved by the visit. ive taken some pics ,,,

this is tv presenter Clive James' dad His father survived years as a POW and was liberated The plane taking him back to Oz crashed into a mountain ,,How tragic is that!
Brigadier Lawson in charge of the Canadians fought to the end against the Japs in 1941. he was heard onthe radio " My HQ is surrounded am going out to fight it out with the japs" and charged out with 3 others pistol in hand
