I am trying to find information out about my wife's Grandad who was in No 4 Commando.
His name is George Painter and was originally from london, but was billeted in Wrexham North Wales.
He tells me he was stationed in Palestine during the war, but from my research I cant find any mention of No 4 being in the Middle East.
Can anyone help me with my research, or does anyone remember George?
