I am looking for more details about the time my father spent in the army. He and a friend volunteered for the Commandos from the Border Regiment and I think he was in 5 commando. I remember him talking about Madagascar and South Africa but I would like to know more. Anyone remember him?

Lorna,
Welcome to the CVA forum. There are a growing number of us on here looking for info on No 5 Commando and certainly No 5 were involved with Madagascar.
Good luck with your search.
