Hi Nick

Dad moved up to Salford in 1960 I think, he joined the TA, Duke of Lancasters Own Yeomanry at Clifton, near Swinton Lancashire, I believe they were a cavalry unit, their vehicles consisted of Landrovers, Champs, Ferrets and Saracens, he was promoted to lance corporal on admission to the TA, later promoted to corporal, his CO was a Major Clements
