info on my granfather/his brothers packer

And a very warm welcome to the CVA, although I do not have any specific info regarding your Grandfather, I can perhaps provide you with some general advice etc regarding your request.
You can actually apply for a copy of your GF's military records the contact details for service record applications can be found on this site by following this link:

Do you know which Royal Marine Commando unit that he was in, ie 42, 44 etc. If you have any photos relating to his time with the marines, you could also upload these to see if this will help to jog some memories, perhaps you have photos that contain the relatives of other members of this site. Have you checked out the Gallery section for Marine Commando units, you never know you might get lucky and see his face amongst one of the photos. If you require assistance uploading any photos that you have I would be more than happy to assist you with this.
