Another of our veterans has passed on and I know all our thoughts are with his family. I saw this poem and thought it quite appropriate and very true. It is for all the veterans who have died rather than any individual. Rather than place the words here I will simply put the link to the poets website. God and the Soldier, all men adore, In time of danger and not before.
When the danger is passed and all things righted, God is forgotten, and the Soldier slighted.
