I am very sorry to be passing on the news that a friend and comrade of Bob's, Peter Meaney, died yesterday in Cromer. His son, Andy, kindly let me know this morning and asked that I put a note on the Forum.
Pete and Bob were reconnected in 2008 and enjoyed a couple of telephone conversations after 65 years. You can see Bob's postings about Peter:

My thoughts and love with Pete's wife, Kathleen, and with Andy and his family at this very sad time.
Love, Janet
