Attached is a copy of a newspaper report printed in the Egyptian Mail after the raid.

This was sent to us by Barry Crowe. The uncle of Barry's mother was in No.11 Commando.

Just a reminder that it was 69 years ago last week that Operation Flipper took place. Lt Col Geoffrey Keyes who was one of those killed during the action was the first Commando awarded the Victoria Cross. I have discovered that he was born in a village called Aberdour a short distance from where I live. There is a plaque in his memory on the wall of a church there which I will photograph soon and place in the gallery.

We will remember them
