My wifes father Edward Scott Stewart Webster enlisted in December 1942 and was lent to Nothney and Armadillo in 1943-44.
I understand these were combined forces training establishments.
We have a photo censored in India in 1945.
His service record also states "Lent to U3 BC and U3 BC (NP4009) during 1945.
Can anyone help us to understand what he was doing during 1945. His main posting was HMS Copra with a short time at HMS Spartiate which I gather were shore bases.
Thank you in antisipation.

www.combinedops.com

Couldnt see anything immediately obvious, but that site is very useful for combined ops.

Hi Tom,
here's a few links that may help you, presumably your father-in-law was Royal Navy?
