This cutting is taken from the Worthing newspaper in 1945 and shows part of 3 Commando at their farewell parade on Broadwater Green.

Having now looked at this article more clearly I believe rather than 3 Commando Brigade this is actually the final parade of No.3 Commando at Worthing taken by Major General Godfrey Edward Wildman-Lushington who at the time was G.O.C. Commando Groups.

Anyone any views on this ?

Yes Pete, almost beyond doubt that this is about No3 Commando and not 3 Commando Brigade.
The article lists where these commandos fought (all places where No3 were involved) but doesn't mention anywhere in the Far East - where 3 Cdo Brigade did most of their fighting.

Quite right - my mistake. My father was there so I should know !
I have made the relevant alterations.
