Hi, I'm French, I'm very interesting about the Commandos stories. I live in Commando Raid's region in France, in Bruneval (near this town, there is Dieppe, Varengeville, Berneval, St Pierre en Port, ...). Every 6 June, I go to Normandy for meet veterans.

I'm looking for any informations about the Vickers K-Gun and its Section (for article in French magazine). Someone have pictures of this gun ? Or do you know a museum or private collector have this ?

Do you know what is the order of battle of the Vickers K Gun Troop ?

Are there another commando with K Gun troops like No. 4 Commando ?

Hi Bulo,

During 1943 the Commando Units Order of Battle was reorganised into (typically)

HQ Troop,
5 Fighting Troops (1 - 5 Troops) and a Heavy Weapons Troop (6 Troop).

The Heavy Weapons Troop would comprise of 2 Sections - 1 Mortar Section and 1 Vickers Machine Gun Section.

the Vickers GO [Gas Operated] Machine gun was more commonly referred to as the K Gun
