I have posted a picture in the WW2 Gallery of the officers from this battalion. If you open it I have a couple of names but would like more. Bill Copland ( No.2) I believe is in the photo but I cannot make out whether he is seated 2nd left or 4th left. The photo originally showed Joe Houghton (No.2) as standing 4th from the left although I believe he is 2nd from the left. Anybody with any help or names please place updates here (that includes the names of the two dogs in the picture). The link to the photo in the gallery is here:

Hi Bernard and thank you for the information. If you click on the link above you will see I have updated the photo with the names and some more information. On looking at some of the individual photos we have in the No.2 Commando Gallery I can clearly see them as you have named. I was wondering whether the remaining two might be Andrew Davidson and John Patterson who were in the same Independent Company and Special Service Battalion. Perhaps someone else may know. I know of 4 who were later killed and I have listed them below.

To the memory of :

Graeme Black DSO MC - No.2 Cdo. Operation Musketoon

Joe Houghton MC - No.2 Cdo. Operation Musketoon
